A [guild] is a group of [a minimum of] 8 players to [a maximum of] 150 players who share the same objectives and goals. They may engage in RvR raids on enemy settlements, Pit Boss raids, form XP groups, or guild-versus-guild battles. The most successful guilds in the race have the chance to control their race¡¯s settlement towns and reap the benefits of their own special mining area as well as impose taxes on the Auction House (aka. Auction Services) system.

Guilds also play a vital role in Chip Wars as each guild can represent a fighting battalion. The race leader(s) present at the Chip War may want a certain guild to block a certain route, and this is where [representative chat] comes into play - a private channel for guild and race leaders to discuss and coordinate their plans for the battle.

Creating and joining Guilds

To create a guild you will need to assemble a party of 8 players who have reached level 30 and have class advanced. Guild creation will cost you 24,000,000 race currency. Once you are prepared to create your guild, head to the Guild Manager NPC in your HQ and talk to him. Select the [Create Guild] option. Guild names may be up to 16 characters long and may contain numbers. Keep the official Naming Policy rules in mind when creating a guild name.

To join a guild, simply open the guild window by pressing CTRL+G, and then enter the name of the guild you wish to join and click [Input]. This will send a notice to the guild senate, and they will decide whether to accept or reject you.

Guild Management

Guild management is very simple, and management options are only available to the guild senate (leader, founders, and committee). Open the guild window and just click on the [Management] tab. You will see three options.

Guild Applicants ¨C this is where you will find a list of all those who have applied to the guild and await an answer. You can select each entry and use the buttons on the bottom of the guild window to [Accept] or [Deny] them.
Present a Case ¨C here you can create a poll for several guild issues: (a) kick members from the guild, (b) withdraw money from your guild bank, (c) propose a member to be promoted to [leader] status, and (d) create an emblem for your guild. Each senate member can vote for yes or no for your case in the ¡°Case Information¡± section under the [General] tab. Case options are restricted by guild grade.
Guild Ledger ¨C the ledger is like a guild bank statement. It allows the senate members to view the most recent transactions of the guild bank. Money deposited, withdrawn, and by who.

Guild Battle

Guild-versus-Guild battles are duked out in the form of Circle Zone Scramble. CZS is a sport that takes place in the HQ (Occupation) map of each race, and can only be fought between guilds of the same race. For more information on GvG, see the Circle Zone Scramble guide.

Guild Settlement Takeover

Guilds have the ability to own settlement towns and benefit from them. Settlement towns include Haram, Numerous, Solus, Anaacade, Armory 213, and Armory 117. A guild that controls a settlement town will be able to mine in a special guild-only mining zone and control the tax rate on the Auction House system (Haram, Solus, and Armory 213 only).

To control a settlement, guilds must first compete and gain honor points in the Circle Zone Scramble GvG battles. Guilds with the highest amount of honor points will be granted control of the settlement. Other guilds may challenge the dominating guild and overthrow them from their position, and win the settlement for themselves.

Guild Grades & Rankings

Grades - Each guild has a grade, which stretches from 1 to 8, and determines which privileges the guild can enjoy. Guild grades are based entirely upon the total number of contribution points guild members have earned. A newly created guild will start at [grade 1], and as their members gain more contribution points, the guild will be promoted to [grade 2], where they will be able to purchase an emblem for 3,000,000 race currency or elect a leader to represent the guild. You can view your guild grade in the guild window (CTRL+G).

Rankings - While guild grades are internal to the guild itself with no affect on other guilds, a guild?s [rank] is not. Guilds are ranked by race according to how many honor and contribution points they have accumulated. The guild with the most honor and contribution points in each race is deemed the #1 ranked guild for the specific race. Guild rankings can be viewed at the Guild Manager NPC in your HQ.

A - This is the actual rank of your grade in comparison to other guilds. Your guild?s rank is determined from your total honor points earned and contribution points gained by your members.

B - This is the [grade] of your guild (see guild grades section).

C - Note that you may also view rankings by honor points only (as opposed to the overall rankings, which are honor points and contribution points) by clicking this tab.
