Chip Wars |
| Q: What are “Chip Wars”? |
| A: Three wars are fought each day over the talic mines, in equal eight-hour intervals. These wars are called “Chip Wars”. The objective of a Chip War is to attack the enemies’ Control Center and obtain their chip and gain access to the mining core. |
| Q: Can you provide a summary of the Chip War process? |
| A: Chip War phases occur in the following order: 1. Quest is received and battle ensues 2. Chip is obtained and the battle is complete 3. Appearance of the Holy Stone Keeper 4. Safe mining time in the Core 5. Holy Stone Keeper chaos 6. Disappearance of the Holy Stone Keeper |
| Q: Does the Chip Bearer get any bonus prize? |
| A: If he/she makes it into the mining core in 10 minutes after obtaining the chip without dying, they will receive a 50% defense bonus and get marked with a green aura of light until the next Chip War commences. |
| Q: Holy Stone Keeper Chaos? What is that? |
| A: When the mining time runs out, the Holy Stone Keeper will enter chaos mode and obliterate anyone that enters the core. |
| Q: How do I know if the Holy Stone Keeper is friendly or not? |
| A: A system message in the chat window usually informs all players of the Holy Stone Keeper’s status upon logging in. |
| Q: How do you win a Chip War? |
| A: The first race to obtain a chip wins the war, and gets access to the talic mine under the protection of the Holy Stone Keeper. |
| Q: How long do I have to mine in the Core? |
| A: The player who strikes the last hit on the Control Center of the targeted race is the “chip bearer” and must run to the mining core in 10 minutes to receive maximum mining time (7 hours) for their race. If the chip bearer fails to make it in time, the mining time is based from the remaining health of his/her race’s Control Center. |
| Q: If I obtain the chip, can I log off and still have the defense bonus? |
| A: If you obtain the chip, feel free to log off if you need to. The defense bonus will still be there when you log in (provided you log in before the next Chip War commences). |
| Q: If two races attack the same chip, who wins? |
| A: If two races attack and successfully destroy the same Control Center, then the race that strikes the last hit on the chip will obtain it and secure the victory for their race. |
| Q: What are the Rewards/Losses for the Chip War quest? |
| A: Players are awarded or inflicted based on the outcome of the battle. Contribution Points: Victory: 5,000 Defeat: -2,500 Money Victory: 10,000 Defeat: 0 A race only “loses” the war if their own Control Center is broken. Otherwise, a race occurs no loss. For example, if the Accretians break the Bellato Control Center, then the Accretians gain, the Bellato lose, while the Cora suffer no loss. |
| Q: What is the maximum run time of a Chip War? |
| A: Chip Wars can last up to 2 hours and 50 minutes. If no one wins in the alotted time, then the HolyStone Keeper will be hostile towards all races. |
| Q: What level do I need to be to participate in a Chip War? |
| A: Your character must be a minimum level of 25 to participate in Chip Wars. Players under level 25 cannot damage the chip, but can still enter the arena and attack players. |
