Q:
Why do I get a "Connecting to Launcher update
server" message which then disappears?
A: If
you are having troubles with the launcher it could
be a proxy problem or a firewall problem. Try going
into IE > Tools > Internet
Option > Connections > LAN settings
and uncheck all boxes. Try the launcher again. If
the problem still persists you will have to take
a look into the firewall settings. The Launcher
will be trying to connect to the login and patch
servers and will fail if we are servicing the servers.
A lack of net connection will result in the above
problem. Port numbers that you will need to use
are: 80 21 10007 8080 8088
